HOW TO JUMP HIGHER? TOP 5 shortest dunkers in NBA history

My TOP 5 shortest dunkers in NBA history

If you are under 180 cm tall and dream of becoming a dunker, this blog post is for you! I want to show some of the lowest dunkers that have made it to the NBA. Sit back, relax and enjoy some of the most inspiring and smallest NBA dunkers of all time.

I have spent countless hours of my life on Youtube watching basketball videos and especially dunk mixtapes. Today, I want to use all that "research" and introduce you to my favorite "not big" NBA dunkers. All of these players are 180cm or under and have amazing vertical jumping abilities:

5 Ty Lawson

Height: 180 cm

Ty Lawson played three years at UNC and only dropped to 18th overall in the 2009 draft because he often had problems with sprained ankles.

In later years, he became one of the best 180cm players in the NBA, starting as a point guard for the Denver Nuggets and helping them to a 57-25 record in the 2012-2013 season.

He's a one-footed dunker, which is relatively rare for short players, but he can really attack the basket without dribbling:

4 Will Bynum

Height: 180 cm

Will Bynum went undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft and spent his rookie year playing in the NBA Development League where he won the NBDA Rookie of the Year award. After a two-year stint in the Euroleague, he impressed the Detroit Pistons in the summer league and finally got a chance to play in the NBA. He is a great example of what can be achieved if you never give up and work hard!

He has not one but two cool nicknames "Will the Thrill" and "Bynumite" and he absolutely deserves them:

3 Allen Iverson

Height: 182 cm on a good day????

This choice can be debatable, since most sources list Allen Iverson as 183 cm tall. But to be honest, I don’t believe it!

Everyone knows that NBA teams (and players) love to exaggerate height, and 6'0" is especially popular with NBA players.

As tall as he is, there's no denying that Iverson was one of the greatest low dunkers of all time:

2 Nate Robinson

Height: 175 cm

The only three-time Slam Dunk winner is a sports beast! Went to college on a football scholarship and also excelled in track and field in high school.

Most famously, he dunked a 208 cm tall Dwight Howard in a Kryptonat suit, who won the 2009 dunk contest. He also showed his amazing 110 cm vertical jump in 2006 when he blocked Yao Ming, who is almost 2 feet (61 cm) taller.

1 Spud Webb

Height: 170 cm

Webb is the shortest NBA dunker to win the NBA Dunk Contest. In 1986, he beat teammate Dominic Wilkins (the most legendary dunker) with two perfect 50s in the final round.

As one of the commentators said during the competition: "Because of him, no one else can argue that he is too small for basketball." He motivated an entire generation of undersized basketball players and showed that you don't have to be over 180 cm tall to dunk.

His dunks are still relevant today! Short shorts - no. ????
